ELITE'S GUARDIAN

A siren blare echoed through the calm hospital, breaking its silence. Ironhide's rushed voice then followed the tone. "Emergency medical situation! All available personnel respond to medical bay #9! It was then that an electric current of concern shot through the hospital. All the available medics, including Red Alert and First Aid ran rigidly to bay number nine. It was like a parade of bots, all baring a red cross. In the back of the pack was Reviver, a new medbot, and this was to be her first emergency operation.

The medics had all arrived at once, and they all received the current of shock in unison. It was Ultra Magnus. Reviver's spark flickered in its chamber. Ultra Magnus was extremely damaged. His armor had dents in nearly every corner, part of it had been ripped apart, and his distronuim circuitry had been ripped out and was fraying. His optics were extremely dimmed.

"He's going offline!" First Aid yelled, alarmed taking over his face plate. "Reviver! We're going to need that magic touch of yours!" Reviver was among the crowd of medic hooking up IVs and such when she was called forward. She timidly but hurriedly ran to a side of the bay. She observed Ultra Magnus. He seemed so disorientated, and completely unaware...as if he didn't even care if he was to live or die. "REVIVER! NOW!" Red Alert's call made Reviver flinch. She pressed both of her servos lightly on Ultra Magnus's chest plate. "What level? She said shakily. "5.5,"said Cubic Zirconia, giving her an odd look. "Reviver, you've gotta do it now, or he's going offline!" Reviver's lip quivered as she set her level up. Still...she hesitated. "REVIVER!!!!!" Cubic Zirconia barked. This startled Reviver, and the electricity triggered itself. A visible current of electricity flowed through Revivers fingertips through Ultra Magnus jerking body. She stopped abruptly, removing her hands from his chest plate in a nano-click. His body stopped jerking.

"Well, don't just stand there, Reviver," Red Alert said harshly and she wrapped a metallic bandage onto one of Ultra Magnus' stabilizing servos "Set the level to six and give him another pulse!" This time Reviver's hesitation didn’t last as long; she placed her servo onto Ultra Magnus firmly, transferring yet another jolt. His optics widened, exerting a blinding glow. His mouth opened as if to gasp, but nothing came out. "I'm hurting him.” she whispered, and let go of large bot, falling to the ground, feeling drained. “We don’t have time to play games!” First Aid said, hooking up a spark supporter. Reviver looked at him desperately. “NOW! We’re losing him, Reviver!” Losing him, Reviver thought. Just like that. If I were to refuse to offer my special abilities Ultra Magnus could just go offline…just like that. But she wouldn’t refuse. It was her job as a medic. Picking herself back up, Reviver placed her hands on Ultra Magnus for what she prayed to Primus was the last time and let another pulsating blast of electricity course through her to him. He had never jolted so violently before. The involuntary jerks were severe, and Revive could barely keep a hold onto him. Please, she thought Just another moment…

That one moment had to be the most agonizing moment of Reviver’s life. Everything seemed to go at the slowest pace, everyone’s alertness, Red Alert’s commands…and Ultra Magnus’ face. His face was traumatizing to her. All she could see was Ultra Magnus, his very existence hanging in the balance…his life deepened on her…

She let go of Ultra Magnus briskly, backing away from the pandemonium. But the pandemonium itself had come to a slow stop…everyone was quite…


“He’s stable!” Cubic Zirconia declared.
